Trenchless Sewer Repairs for Lakewood OH Homeowners

Trenchless Sewer Repair, Trenchless Sewer Replacement, Pipe Bursting, Pipe Re-lining, and Pipe Patch Specialists in Lakewood OH are the plumbers at Lakewood Plumbing, Drain & Sewer.  Trenchless sewer repair is a method by which our Lakewood OH plumbers use for repairing or replacing sections of underground broken sewer lines without actually having to excavate or dig up your property to gain access to your homes’ sewer lines.  We can use two different types of Trenchless Sewer Repair and we will thoroughly go over both of those options and methods with each individual homeowner in Lakewood OH to determine the best fit for your home.

Trenchless Sewer Pipe Re-lining Method

With this method of trenchless sewer repair, also known as Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) our plumbers are actually able to create a new pipe within your existing sewer pipe using special epoxies and resins.  The special liner used is saturated with epoxy, then pulled into place in your existing and damaged sewer line.  A bladder is placed inside that, it is then carefully inflated inside the sewer pipe itself, at which this point the epoxy actually cures into a brand new pipe inside your old damaged sewer pipe.  The bladder that was inflated to help the new pipe take its’ shape is then removed, leaving behind your new cured in place sewer pipe.  Finally, our Lakewood Plumbing experts will perform another sewer camera inspection to ensure that the repair was completed successfully.

Trenchless Sewer Pipe Bursting Method

With this method our Lakewood OH plumbers only have to dig two small holes, one hole at either end of the sewer line that needs replacing.  Then a special steel cable is inserted at one end of the sewer line and pushed through to the other end.  Our plumbers attach a special cone shape bursting head to one end of the cable and a special hydraulic system to the other.  Pipe bursting actually destroys the old damaged sewer pipe, while at the same time pulls a new seamless HDPE sewer pipe into its place.

Trenchless Sewer Repair vs Traditional Excavating Sewer Repair?

Traditional sewer line excavation can start at around $5000 and can quickly climb depending on how severe your sewer line is damaged.  The integrity of your property is also a factor in determining your decision whether to use trenchless sewer repair, for situations like if you just had a new driveway paved, new landscaping done, etc.  If you are dealing with a damaged or broken sewer line Lakewood OH, contact the professionals at Lakewood Plumbing, Drain & Sewer and we will gladly spend some time with you going over and explaining all of your options and costs for getting your homes’ sewer line back up and functioning properly.
